Trauma therapy is a specialized form of mental health treatment that focuses on helping individuals who have experienced traumatic events or emotional distress. This therapy aims to address the psychological and emotional impact of trauma, often utilizing various therapeutic techniques such as play therapy to help individuals process their experiences, reduce symptoms, and promote healing and resilience. Katherine has several years of experience providing individual counseling to those who have faced abuse, neglect, and other types of trauma. She also engages in community outreach and offers parent consultations, along with school and daycare consultations, to enhance mental health education. Additionally, Katherine has extensive training in trauma modalities, including TraumaPlay™ and EMDR.
This is a stand-alone service designed to assist parents in identifying and addressing specific concerns through parent consultations. Unlike traditional individual counseling, these sessions focus on mental health education, guidance, specific strategies, and support to enhance understanding of their child's needs. Additionally, parent consultations aim to improve the parent-child relationship and can be complemented by community outreach initiatives, play therapy, and school and daycare consultations, as well as trauma therapy if needed.
Play therapy is a therapeutic approach that utilizes play as a medium for children to express their thoughts, feelings, emotions, and experiences. Through community outreach initiatives and individual counseling, sessions are designed to understand and address a child's needs via play. This method is often complemented by mental health education, parent consultations, and school and daycare consultations, making it an effective component of trauma therapy.

Additionally, services such as individual counseling, parent consultations, and school and daycare consultations are included to further support mental health education. Play therapy and trauma therapy are also offered as part of these comprehensive outreach efforts.
